Leusemia is a Peruvian rock band formed in 1983 in Lima, Peru. Initially comprising Daniel F (Daniel Valdivia) as a vocalist and guitarist, Kimba Vilis (Gustavo Valdivia) on drums, and Raúl Montaña Montañez on guitar, the band quickly became a central figure in Peru's rock scene, known for their diverse musical influences ranging from Pink Floyd to the Ramones. Leusemia navigated through genres such as punk rock, Spanish rock , rock and roll, progressive rock, and underground rock. They debuted at a bar, marking their entry with original songs in Spanish, a notable departure from the then-prevailing trend. Despite a brief split in 1986, the band reunited in 1995 and has since released several influential albums including A la mierda lo demás (1995), Moxón (1998), and Hospicios (2004), which showcase their evolution towards a more progressive rock sound. Their work, especially tracks release in 1985 like "Decapitados" and "Rata sucia," has left a lasting impact on the Peruvian rock movement.
