The Odorants, a Finnish punk rock band, were formed in 1995 under the name Butt First when members Jaska, Anssi, and Rami met in high school in Nurmo. The group initially included Murkku as the lead singer and bassist, with Jaska on drums. They signed with United Records, which led to a name change to the Odorants and the release of their first EP, Tales from the Underground, in 1998. In 2003, they signed with BMG Finland and released their debut album, Beat the Odorants. Notable singles from this album include "This Night" and "Late Night Call", both of which received radio play. Subsequent releases include Counting Wolves (2007) and When Tigers Used to Smoke (2022).
