Daïpivo, a French reggae and rock group from Cassis in the Bouches-du-Rhône region, was formed in 1989. Initially a trio of percussionists, they transitioned to include bass, drums, guitar, and later added an organist and lead guitarist who brought a rock element to their sound. Their debut album, Back to the Roots (June 1996), sold out its initial run within three months, after which the group toured across France, Belgium, Switzerland, and other regions. The band's second album, Reggae engatsé (1998), gained wider distribution through Scalen Distribution. Daïpivo disbanded in 2003 but returned in 2013 with the album Nouveau souffle.
