Sophie Villy, born სოფო ვილი on October 30, 1990 in Tbilisi, Georgia, is a singer-songwriter and composer. She began studying piano at age five and later turned to the guitar, composing her own material by 12. After a career as a high diver, she started performing in Tbilisi clubs at 16. Following the Russo-Georgian War of 2008, Villy moved to Kyiv, where she formed her first group, Backstage, before embarking on a solo career. Her debut album Mother Fish was released in 2012, followed by Dress in 2014 and Planet A in 2017. Notable songs include "Position" (2012) and "Connected" (2013). Villy has composed soundtracks for films, including Lost in Escapade, which won Best Original Music at Spain's Euro Film Festival in 2015. She has performed internationally, including at the SXSW festival in Texas and multiple tours across America.
