Chicago inspired artist Yo Homeboi Julius C is a coast to coast style rapper who has produced, engineered & collaborated with indie & underground artists of various genres across the nation. Yo Homeboi Julius C is also a father, a photographer, a video editor, and a traveler at heart. Through his busy schedule, he makes time to create Chicago inspired Conscious Hip Hop music mixed with various sub genres in both English and Spanish. Although his work of art goes beyond the realm of music, he is sure to return with more music for you to enjoy.
With the evolution of Hip Hop, Yo Homeboi Julius C did not go with the trend of trap and decided to continue with the styles of Hip Hop he enjoys the most. You will notice that most of his music has quite the 2000s Hip Hop flavor to it, keeping that era alive. This was a personal choice he made, creating the type of music he would prefer to listen to, rather than chasing the mainstream trends. There will be an exception with remixes; remixes will have a more modern twist to them since they are being brought back to life either by demand or to revive a throwback with renewed potential. If a producer wants to bring back a song with a trap feel to it for the fans, by all means they are more than welcome to do so!
