Known for her haunting yet uplifting alt-pop, Natalie Holmes is a UK songwriter whose music will resonate deeply with all identifying as a cerebral wanderer. Since sharing her first home-recorded songs on YouTube in 2010, she’s nurtured her raw, poetic lyricism and honey-toned, yet characterful vocals alongside a sound that’s both comforting and expansive. Her debut album Vitamin Be (2022), praised by 6 Music and BBC Introducing, explored themes of mental health, self-reflection, and the profound effects of nature on both — all through a self-produced, organic yet dreamlike soundscape, capturing the complex nature of modern life.
With her second album Opposite Day (released Oct 2025), Natalie continues to convey the dizzying emotional highs and lows of today's world, crafting songs that hold emotional contradictions with both humour, grace and a pinch of grit.
Both a solo artist and a topliner, she has also toured as a lead vocalist & instrumentalist with Trance legends Above & Beyond on their Acoustic World Tour, and has collaborated with electronic artists such as Gelka, Oliver Smith, Cadmium, Rival, Subsonic and folk gems The Longest Johns.
Holmes has also worked with #1 meditation and sleep app ‘Calm’, first licensing her instrumental ‘Piano Places’ album, then moving on to compose sleep songs for children.
With Opposite Day out in the world and a relentless drive to evolve, she continues to inspire listeners to question and embrace the challenges of life with a hopeful curiosity.
P.S. From 2014-2019 Natalie was 1 member of 6 in singer/songwriter collective Winter Springs, formed at university - for lovers of 5 part harmonies, slide guitar, and more of Holmes’ ethereal piano playing, look no further!
