Tone Damli was a big teen star in Norway long before she broke through in the rest of Europe with the hit single Butterflies. She first began singing as a three-year-old in her local choir and says that from that point she never wanted to do anything else but sing. She initially came to fame in Scandinavia as the runner-up on the Norwegian version of TV show Pop Idol in 2005 and although she was beaten in the final by Jorun Stiansen, the public took her to their hearts and she released her debut album Bliss the same year. Damli also appeared on the Norwegian version of TV show Dancing With The Stars in 2006 - finishing third - and her voice was used in the computer-animated movie comedy Over The Hedge. Second album Sweet Fever followed in 2007, included the hit single Fever, but it was Damli's 2009 hit Butterflies - her entry into the Eurovision Song Contest - that launched her into the big time. The song was runner-up to Alexander Rybak in the Norwegian leg of Eurovision but, included on her third album I Know, it made her name abroad. Fourth album Cocool followed in 2010 by another hit single, the hugely catchy Stuck In My Head, featuring rapper Vinni.
