Etnon, formerly known as Etno Engjujt, was a Kosovar duo from Pristina formed in 1997. The group consisted of Genc Prelvukaj and Milot Hasangjekaj, known respectively as Gentz and Mc'M. Etnon gained prominence with their fusion of ethnic Albanian music and modern hip-hop rhythms. The release of The Dynasty (2002) marked their rise to prominence, followed by subsequent albums including Vitamin E (2005) and "Albanian" from that album, which became one of their most influential songs. The group's heavy nationalism in music videos led to bans in Montenegro. In 2009, they transitioned to lighter topics and changed their name to Etnon. Notable collaborations included work with Mad Lion, Don Arbas, Lyrical Son, Tingulli 3nt, Genta Ismajli, and Arta Bajrami. The group disbanded in 2018 after releasing seven albums over their 21-year career. Prelvukaj continued his music career independently and as CEO of Black Fish Entertainment, while Hasangjekaj retired from the industry.
