Ion Suruceanu (born September 9, 1949, in Suruceni) is a Moldovan singer and former parliamentarian. Active since 1968, Suruceanu established himself as one of Moldova's most prominent vocalists by the mid-1980s. His notable musical contributions include the songs “Un singur cantec stiu” (1986) and “Soarele cel mare” (1987), as well as his performance of “Nezabudka” at the 1989 Song of the Year festival. His later discography features the albums Ninge floarea de tei (2002) and Roze, roze (2004). Beyond his musical career, Suruceanu served in the Parliament of Moldova from 1994 to 1998 representing the Democratic Agrarian Party, where he notably voted to recognize Romanian as the official state language. He was awarded the title of People's Artist of Moldavian SSR in 1990. In late 2023, Suruceanu was diagnosed with pneumonia and transferred to a hospital in Germany for treatment.
