Devin Star Tailes, aka Dev, is an American singer and hip-hop performer of Portuguese and Mexican heritage who attracted attention in 2009 when she uploaded musical covers onto the Internet and was noticed by producers The Cataracs. She featured with The Cataracs on Far East Movement's single 'Like a G6' in 2010, which went to number three on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs Chart and number nine on the UK Singles Chart. Her 2011 single 'In the Dark' topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs Chart and went to number eleven on the Hot 100. 'The Night the Sun Came Up', from her 2012 debut album, reached number six on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.

Her 2011 single 'Bass Down Low' featuring The Cataracs went to number ten in the UK. She featured on JLS's number one 'She Makes Me Wanna' in 2011, with The Cataracs on New Boyz's 'Backseat' (2011) and with Swiftkid on Laurent Wery's 'Hey Hey Hey (Pop Another Bottle)' (2012). 'Naked' (2012) with Enrique Iglesias peaked at number two on the Dance Club Chart. Her 2014 EP 'Bittersweet July' reached number 16 on the Dance/Electronic Chart and in 2017 she released her second album 'I Only See You When I'm Dreamin''. In 2018 she performed in several cities in California and her 2019 schedule included an appearance in Rome, Italy.
