Stealing Sheep, formed in Liverpool, England in 2010, consisted of Rebecca Hawley (vocals and keys), Emily Lansley (vocals, guitar, bass guitar) and Luciana Mercer (vocals and drums). Their early releases included tracks such as “Shut Eye” and “Genevieve”, which introduced their psychedelic pop sound blending folk and electronic elements, leading into the EP Noah and the Paper Moon released in 2012, which compiled material from their earlier EPs including “The Mountain Dogs” and “I Am the Rain”. The debut studio album Into the Diamond Sun was issued by Heavenly Recordings in 2012. In 2015 they released Not Real on 13 April 2015, followed by Big Wows on 19 April 2019 and the collaborative soundtrack album La Planète Sauvage in 2021. Stealing Sheep supported Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark on the 2021 Architecture & More Tour, continuing their presence on the contemporary indie and psychedelic pop circuit.
