Singaporean pop and soul singer/songwriter Sezairi Sezali – born in Bukit Timah on August 6, 1987 – is better known as Sezairi, who came to prominence as the winner of Season 3 of Singapore Idol in 2009. His interest in music goes back to when he was five years old and listened to the music that his father played. By the age of 14, he taught himself guitar, which led him to form his first band Juxtapose. He participated in Season 3 of Singapore Idol in 2009 and was crowned the winner at the end of the season. His 2010 debut album, Take Two, was released on Universal Music and featured the hit single “Broken”. After a six year break from the charts, he returned on new label Sony Music with the 2016 EP Sezairi, which featured the hit single “Fire to the Floor”. In 2020, Sezali released the EP Undertones, which featured the hit “It’s You”, which was certified Gold and was streamed over 10 million times. In November 2020, he issued the single “Raindrops”.
