Frank Bey, born Frank Bass on January 17, 1946, in Millen, Georgia, was an American blues singer who began his career performing gospel at age four. After moving to Philadelphia at 17, he worked for Otis Redding’s advance publicity man and occasionally opened shows for Redding. In the early 1970s, Bey joined the Moorish Vanguard and produced "The Sunset of Your Love" in 1976. A dispute over the song's publication led to a hiatus from music until 1996. His debut album Steppin' Out was released in 1998, followed by collaborations with guitarist Anthony Paule, including three albums between 2013 and 2015. In July 2018, Bey signed with Nola Blue Records and released Back In Business. His final album, All My Dues Are Paid, was nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Blues Album" in January 2020. Bey died on June 7, 2020, after a long illness.
