Baby M, born in Nagasaki, Japan, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. Raised by British/South African and Japanese parents, she spent her early childhood in Nagasaki before moving to the Philippines at age 14. Baby M's musical journey began when she started singing in Manila slums, inspired by her mother's charitable work. She was discovered by a Japanese producer and released her first single "It's Alright" independently in 2000. Baby M officially debuted under Universal Music Japan in 2002 with the single "Usual Girl," which was featured in the Japanese television show Pecola. After releasing two more singles, she re-debuted in 2010 under Rhythm Zone/Avex Records. She has collaborated with various artists, including "Last Chance" with GTS and "Good-Bye to My Love" with Mandoza.
