The Bens

The Bens were a rock supergroup formed in 2003, consisting of Ben Folds, Ben Kweller and Ben Lee. The trio came together spontaneously after fans suggested they collaborate due to their shared first name. Their debut performance was the Bens Rock Over Australia tour from March 14-28, 2003, which included nine concerts across various Australian cities. The group released a four-track self-titled extended play (The Bens) in 2003, recorded in Nashville. One of the EP's tracks, "Just Pretend", was listed on the Triple J Hottest 100, 2003. They also contributed a cover of "Wicked Little Town" to the tribute album Wig in a Box for the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
