Louisa Johanna Theodora “Wieteke” van Dort, born on 16 May 1943 in Surabaya, then Dutch East Indies, was a Dutch actress, comedian, singer, writer, and artist of Indo descent. She began her career in radio and television after moving with her family to The Hague. Van Dort gained prominence with her role as the Deftige Dame in De Stratemakeropzeeshow. Her first solo album, Een Fraai Stuk Burengerucht, was released in 1975. In the late 1970s she released Kun Je Nog Zingen, Zing Dan Mee (1978) and Hallo Bandoeng (1979), and in 1980 she released Kortjakje Is Weer Beter. She was best known for her character Tante Lien in The Late Late Lien Show, for which she was awarded the Silver Medal of Merit in 2007. Van Dort was appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange‑Nassau in 1999. She died on 15 July 2024 in The Hague.
