Andrew Michael Simon, born Andrew Simon on February 17, 1963, is an American clarinetist known for his contributions to classical music. He began his career with a notable debut at Carnegie Hall Recital (Weill) Hall in 1989, following his win of the Artists International Young Musicians Auditions Clarinet Award. Simon's early achievements included performing the original 1948 version of Copland's Clarinet Concerto, which he premiered in Australia in 2000 with Marin Alsop conducting. He has been the principal clarinetist of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. His discography includes albums such as Hot - Works for Clarinet and Piano (1998) and Ebony and Ivory: Works for Clarinet and Piano, released in 2013.
