Founded in 2016 in Berlin, Violence quickly made their mark with the release of eleven 7-inch singles across various labels.
Their debut album "Paradies" followed in 2021, released as an LP and box set (DoLP & book) on the Hamburg label Clouds Hill.
Throughout their existence, Gewalt has played over 250 concerts worldwide, touring through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the USA, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
In 2018, global superstar Jack White invited them to support his tour in Germany.
They later shared stages with international acts such as Raveonettes, Fat White Family, Tricky, and White Hills.
Jason Williamson of Sleaford Mods declared himself a fan, stating, "
Violence is wicked, follow them."
Jack White was equally impressed, remarking,
"These three Germans - They sound amazing."
