Bobby Naughton (born Robert Naughton on June 25, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts) was an American jazz vibraphonist and pianist. He studied music from an early age, later attending Goddard College, where he became involved in the improvisational music scene and shifted his focus to vibraphone. Naughton performed with artists including Perry Robinson and Sheila Jordan and collaborated extensively with Wadada Leo Smith through the 1970s and beyond, including performances at events such as the Moers Festival. He released a number of recordings on his own Otic label and in collaboration with others; notable albums include Understanding (1973), the trio recording The Haunt (with Robinson and Smith), and Pawtucket (2008). Naughton passed away on December 3, 2022.
