MARKAPASOS is the result of the union of two talented artists, the singer and composer David Baena "BAUTY" and the beatmaker and producer Juan Zapata "MAESTRO ROCHI", from the city of Pereira, Colombia. They began working together in 2019, seeking to create an innovative sound that fused Colombian folk music with Dance-Hall and Rap. In their search, they have managed to create a harmonious and unique sound that moves away from convention.
