Steffen Berkhahn, known professionally as Dixon, was born on December 21, 1975, in Anklam, Germany. He is a German musician, house and techno DJ, and producer who began his career as a DJ in Berlin clubs such as Turbine and Tresor during the early 1990s. His breakthrough came with weekly residencies at WMF alongside Mitja Prinz. In 2005, Dixon founded Innervisions, initially a sub-label of Sonar Kollektiv, which became independent the following year. The label has significantly influenced the global house scene. As a producer, Dixon released several EPs and notable edits, including "Cover Me" by Depeche Mode in 2017 and "i used to" by LCD Soundsystem in 2018. He was voted Number One DJ on Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJ Poll from 2013 to 2016. Dixon also ventured into fashion with the clothing brand Together We Dance Alone and launched the Ibiza residency Transmoderna in 2019, which evolved into a digital platform exploring music, art, fashion, technology, and club culture.
