Kytami

Kyla Tamiko LeBlanc, known professionally as Kytami, was born in Vancouver, Canada. She is a violinist, singer, and rapper who began her musical journey at the age of three with violin lessons, later training classically at the Vancouver Academy of Music from ages 3 to 17. At 23, she started performing in a band at the Dubh Linn Gate Pub. In 2002, Kytami recorded her debut album Conflation. In 2006, she co-founded the group Delhi 2 Dublin but left in late 2010 to focus on her solo career. After, she released the album Kytami in 2012. The "Kytami" stage name is a blend of her first and middle names. She is of mixed Japanese, Filipino, and English descent.
