Panjabi By Nature, known professionally as PBN, was a British singer, songwriter, and producer from Wolverhampton. A pioneer of UK Bhangra and Asian fusion, PBN studied music production under Keith Dilworth. He signed with Limitless Records and released his debut album, Next Episode, in 2003. In 2004, his recording “Nain Preeto De” reached Number 1 on the BBC Asian Network chart. PBN released the albums Settin' the Standard (2004), Ready or Not (2005), and Homegrown (2009). The latter featured the tracks “Aashiq” and “Dancefloor”. He collaborated with musicians including Malkit Singh, H-Dhami, and Miss Pooja. In 2011, PBN won the UK Asian Music Award for Best Album for Crowd Pleaser. He performed internationally in countries including India, Canada, and the USA, and mentored young artists in the Midlands.
