Duwaine Whitfield, known professionally as Wittyboy, was born on September 11, 1984, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, and is a British DJ and record producer influenced by speed garage, grime, hip hop, house, and dancehall music from an early age. Wittyboy gained initial support through national radio stations and regular nightclub performances within the bassline scene. His breakthrough came with successful underground releases, leading to his first major label opportunity: remixing Estelle's "No Substitute Love" under Atlantic Records. Wittyboy's work has been featured on various compilations including Nitin Sawhney’s London Undersound and Ministry of Sound’s The Sound of Bassline series. Notable solo releases include The Shakedown (2016) and Narcos (2019).
