Electronic music producer and DJ Ardalan Noghre-Kar (known as Ardalan), originally from Tehran, grew up shuttling between Iran and the San Francisco Bay Area. He discovered his love for music early, inspired by his father, who was a saxophonist, with his tastes evolving from traditional Iranian and classic jazz to diverse Western genres through his cross-continental upbringing. Returning to California in 2006, Ardalan's unique music taste led to lasting friendships and immersion in the Bay Area underground scene, where he connected with the Dirtybird Records crew. Embracing the Dirtybird party scene, igniting his interest in DJ'ing and music production, his dedication paid off when he shared a 10-minute demo with Dirtybird's founder, Justin Martin, resulting in the 2010 breakout hit "Mr. Spock" which soon became a streaming dance chart topper, putting both himself and the record label on the map. Ardalan continued to showcase his dance floor connection through remixes on various labels, playing at prominent events and venues including Coachella and Space Miami. His debut eleven-track album, Mr. Good, appearing in 2019 was wildly successful, seeing the artist further channel his profound connection to the dance floor by creating remixes for Toy Tonics, Play It Down and Yoshitoshi, continuing to drop tracks over the coming years, including "Zombie Village" (2020), "Just the Way" (2021), "Habits Die Hard" (2022), as well as EPs Ballroom Remixes (2022) and The Maniac (2023).
