Giovanni Falzone, born May 22, 1974 in Lippstadt, Germany, is an Italian jazz trumpeter and composer. He started trumpet lessons at age 17 and studied at the V. Bellini Conservatory in Palermo and the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan. From 1996 to 2004, Falzone was the first trumpet player with the Symphony Orchestra of Milan. In 2002, he released his debut album Music for Five. Since 2004, he has dedicated himself exclusively to jazz. Notable releases include Earthquake Suite (2004) and R-Evolutin Suite (2007). He has collaborated with artists like Massimo Colombo and Enrico Fazio, performing at major festivals. His album Around Ornette (2011) won the Top Jazz award for best album and best instrumentalist in the brass category. Falzone taught trumpet and jazz ensemble at the Conservatory of Brescia and Siena Jazz University.
