Die Vamummtn is an Austrian hip-hop group formed in late 2006. They gained initial recognition in the hip-hop scene in 2007 by releasing diss tracks on YouTube in response to videos by the hip-hop group SBG Hot Boys. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Vamummtn Krocha Hymne", a song satirizing Austrian youth culture in early 2008, which reached number 47 on the Ö3 Austria Top 40 chart and led to a deal with Universal Music Austria. The group released their debut album Rap is (k)a Ponyhof in 2011. They won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for the Hip-Hop/R'n'B category in 2012. Die Vamummtn announced their split in November 2016, but returned in March 2020 after releasing a Youtube video titled "Die Vamummtn 2.0 - Vo Daham Aus (MAD)" which concluded with the announcement of an album titled MAD.
