Hamilton Michael Loomis, born November 1, 1975, in Galveston, Texas, is an American electric blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began playing multiple instruments at an early age and performed with a family group during his teenage years. Loomis' debut album, Hamilton, was released in 1994 by Ham-Bone Records and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album in 1995. He followed this with Just Gimme One Night (1996) and All Fired Up (2000). In 2007, Loomis' album Ain’t Just Temporary, released by Blind Pig Records, peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums Chart. He has collaborated with artists like Jimmy Needham and Victor Wooten of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones. The Hamilton Michael Loomis Band has performed at various festivals and venues, including extensive tours throughout the United States and UK.
