The Chenille Sisters, an American folk band, formed in 1985 when Cheryl Dawdy joined Grace Morand and Connie Huber. The trio began performing together at The Old Town in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Their debut album, The Chenille Sisters, was released in 1986. In 1987, they signed with Red House Records and released At Home with the Chenille Sisters in 1989. The band's discography includes several children's albums such as Mama I Wanna Make Rhythm (1991) and The Big Picture And Other Songs For Kids (1992). They also collaborated with Jim Dapogny’s Chicago Jazz Band on the album Whatcha Gonna Swing Tonight? in 1992. In 1996, The Chenille Sisters created their own label, Cantoo Records, and continued to release albums, including True To Life (1994) and May I Suggest (2006).
