Distorted World, a Russian darkwave/industrial band, was formed in 2010 in Moscow as a side-project by Ivan M., former keyboardist of Anthracitic Moths. The following year, Angelina L. joined the project with her vocals. Distorted World's debut album Between the Strophes was released in 2012, via Artificial Sun. Their second full-length album, Shadow Empire, followed in 2014, under Insane Records. The band also released the single "Personal Necropolis" in July 2013 and a web EP titled Drowning in January 2016. Distorted World's music is characterized by gothic-industrial elements, including harsh male vocals from Ivan M., clean female vocals from Angelina L., synthesizers, orchestrations, analog basslines, and a strong mid-tempo beat. Their third album, Storm and Silence, was released in 2017.
