Imperial Tiger Orchestra is a Swiss group specializing in modern popular Ethiopian music, formed after a jam session organized by Genevan trumpet player Raphaël Anker. Their debut album Addis Abeba was released in 2010, followed by Mercato in 2011 and Wax in 2013. Imperial Tiger Orchestra toured extensively across Europe and Africa, including performances in South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia. They collaborated with notable Ethiopian musicians such as Endress Hassen and Hamelmal Abate.
