Ai Takekawa, born 4 September 1988 in Japan, is a Japanese singer, composer and television presenter. From a young age she played piano and guitar, later studying archaeology and French at Waseda University while continuing her musical training. Her first major release came with the single "遠い道の先で" / "Star" on 3 March 2010, followed by the EP ドリーマー on 1 December 2010. In November 2009 she issued the album I WILL, which established her presence in the electro‑pop and pop scenes. Subsequent singles, including "よろしく〜みんなのうたバージョン〜" (18 January 2012), were accompanied by appearances on NHK’s J‑Melo and the music program GOLDEN 4 EGGS~ Takekawa Ai Why‑Ai Tonight on Nack5.
