The Luv'd Ones, an all-female rock group from Niles, Michigan, formed in 1965 with Char Vinnedge on lead guitar and vocals. Other members include Chris Vinnedge on bass guitar, Mary Gallagher on rhythm guitar, and Faith Orem on drums. The band initially recorded as The Tremolons, releasing a single on Wildwood Records that included "Please Let Me Know" and "Theme for a DJ". In the late 1960s, they signed with Dunwich Records under the new name Luv'd Ones and released several singles over five years. In the late 1990s, the group signed a deal with Sundazed Records, leading to the release of their Dunwich singles compilation album Truth Gotta Stand in 1999. The project was cut short by Char Vinnedge's death in December 1997. In 2005, Rhino Records released "Up Down Sue" on a box set compilation album One Kiss Can Lead To Another: Girl Group Sounds, Lost and Found.
