Karanda, a UK trance and house project, was formed in 2008 by producer/DJ James Wood from Leicester and Andrew Curd from Worthing. The duo met online in 2004, with Andi supporting James' music early on. Karanda's debut track "Karanda" gained support from Armin van Buuren, and their vocal track "On Hold", featuring David Call, was signed by Markus Schulz to Coldharbour Recordings. In 2011, they remixed Bart Claessen's "Hartseer" for Ferry Corsten’s Full On Ferry compilation, gaining support from Above & Beyond. Karanda signed with Enhanced Music in late 2011, releasing singles such as "Titan" and "Kingpin", and remixes for Audien and Estiva. They collaborated with various artists, including Kathy Fisher, Store N Forward, Mike Shiver, and Alana Aldea. Karanda hosted The Karanda Show monthly on Afterhours.FM and The Karanda Mix weekly on Mixcloud.
