He began his music career in the early 1960s, initially performing in local competitions and events. In 1967, he released his debut album Tengo Un Mustang. His distinctive style led to collaborations with various musicians and bands across Latin America, including recordings for labels like Fónica in Guatemala and Fediscos in Ecuador. Jean Paul “El Troglodita” faced personal struggles later in life, notably with alcoholism, which affected his career. He passed away on July 29, 2004, in Lima.
