Bahngbek, a South Korean supergroup, was formed by Bang Joonseok and Bek Hyunjin in 2014. Prior to forming the group, Bang was a member of U & Me Blue and a seasoned film music composer, while Bek had a successful career with Uhuhboo Project and as a solo artist. They had collaborated and interviewed each other for three years before officially coming together as "Bang Joonseok with Bek Hyunjin." The duo contributed to the soundtrack of the 2014 film Gyeongju and released their debut studio album Your Hands in 2015. This album, described by Choi Minwoo of the 2017 Korean Music Awards as a remarkable "adult" pop that resonates deeply and leaves a lasting impression, was nominated for Best Pop Album. In 2018, they highlighted their growing popularity with performances at the DMZ Peace Train Music Festival and their own solo concert in October.
