LONG SHOT PARTY was a Japanese ska pop rock band formed in Sendai in 1998. The group released their debut mini-album, Making Ourself Understood in our Sounds, in January 2000. Their first full-length album, Delta Force, followed in October 2001 under an indie label. In 2002, they released the album sonic, peaking at number 80 on the Oricon chart. The band continued to build their discography with releases like the RAZZOODOCK in 2004 and the album Gardens 13h in 2005. In October 2007, LONG SHOT PARTY signed with DefSTAR Records. Their major-label debut single "Distance" was released in January 2008 and served as the second opening theme for the popular anime series Naruto Shippuden. The band's single "Ano Hi Time Machine" was used as the opening theme for the anime television series Zoku Natsume Yūjinchō in January 2009. Throughout their career, LONG SHOT PARTY released several notable albums including Pointirhythm in August 2006 and a self-titled album, LONG SHOT PARTY, in July 2010. Despite their fruitful career, the group disbanded later that year.
