Hudson Laird is a singer/songwriter, & guitarist born in Natchez, Mississippi January 18th 1993. Hudson is most notable as being the founder, & lead guitarist of the rock band Bishop Gunn. In the summer of 2014 Hudson was asked to perform Friday Oct. 14th at "The Natchez, Great Mississippi River Balloon Race", & put together a band to perform the show. When prompted for a band name by promoters Hudson chose Bishop Gunn after seeing the name on a tomb stone in the Natchez, Mississippi cemetery a few years prior. The first Bishop Gunn show was a huge success immediately transforming the band from a studio project to something serious. Soon after Hudson Laird & Bishop Gunn stared recording & touring gaining a "cult like" following with Robert Plant like vocals, & screaming guitar. Hudson Laird & Bishop Gunn also became friends with Mike Wolfe from History Channel's hit show "American Pickers", Kid Rock & Justin Timberlake. Even appearing in Timberlake's "William Rast" clothing promotional video where Hudson Laird plays the Star Spangled Banner (Hendrix style) on the opening scene while Justin Timberlake & friends stand in front of a giant American flag. The band has released multiple albums that continues to sell thousands of copies. After extensive touring Bishop Gunn played their last show with the original band Saturday, November 12th 2016 in Natchez Mississippi at the historic antebellum home "Longwood". Hudson left Bishop Gunn soon after from differences on the direction the band was taking. After departing ways Hudson has become a solo artist as well as doing Costumes on feature films such as "The Last Son" (Machine Gunn Kelly) "Butchers Crossing" (Nicolas Cage) & many others. Hudson has worked with various artist such as Aloe Black, Webbie, Lil' Boosie, David Cobb, Justin Timberlake, Mike Wolfe, Machine Gun Kelly, Nicolas Cage, Kid Rock, & many more. Hudson is expected to release his first solo studio album in 2023.
