Jay Durias is a Filipino singer, songwriter, and producer who was born as Jay Oliver Durias Sr. in Davao City, Philippines, in 1976. He is famous for serving as the frontman and keyboardist of the pop and R&B ensemble South Border and for the recording "Kahit Kailan", which was awarded the 1996 Song of the Year. Durias achieved early professional recognition in 1996 when South Border released their eponymous debut studio recording, which featured the track "May Pag-Ibig Pa Kaya". In 1997, the band received multiple awards at the 10th Awit Awards, including Album of the Year. Their work includes the recordings "Rainbow", composed for the film Crying Ladies (2003), and "Ikaw Nga", the theme for the television series Mulawin (2004). Durias has released cover versions of the Basia track "Reward" (2009) and the Eraserheads songs "With a Smile" (2005) and "Ang Huling El Bimbo" (2012). He has also hosted the radio program Rock-a-bye-Jayd and appeared on the series Eat Bulaga! in 2015.
