Rakede was a German hip-hop, electro, and rock band from Berlin, established in 2006. Founded by Alexander Nauels, Christian Behr, and Jan Günther, the band was initially known as Die Rakede. While the members designated themselves as "Triebwerk", the group released its first single, “Wo geht's ins All”, via Universal Music in 2008. In 2013, the band rebranded as Rakede and released the EP Ja... aber was, wenn alles klappt through Downbeat Records, featuring collaborations with Samy Deluxe and Dellé. That same year, their unplugged video for “Bitte, Bitte” became a viral success. The group performed at various festivals, including MS Dockville and Mini-Rock-Festival, starting in 2010. Their self-titled debut album, Rakede, appeared in 2014, followed by Es geht mir gut! (Sehr, sehr gut. Sehr gut!) in 2017. The band split up on 20 June 2020. Lead singer Julian Schmit subsequently launched a solo career as Schmyt.
