An activist on the German rock and metal scene, Chris Harms has presided over the destinies of numerous bands, most famously Lord of the Lost. A multi-instrumentalist born in Hamburg on January 22, 1980, he plays guitar, keyboards, cello and electronics. His band career began with the industrial rock outfit Philiae (1999-2005), and continued with the techno project UnterART (2003-2008) and the glam rock revival band The Pleasures (2004-2009). Meanwhile, in 2007, he brought together his different musical tendencies and influences with Lord of the Lost, for which he has been vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist over the course of some fifteen albums. In parallel, he formed Harms & Kapelle for an album released in 2014. In 2024, a year after Lord of the Lost's Weapons of Mass Destruction album, Chris Harms embarked on his solo career in a synthpop style with several singles leading to the album 1980 (2025), including the singles "Madonna of the Night" with Solar Fake and "The Grey Machines" with VNV Nation.
