Kvi Baba, born in 1999 in Ibaraki City, Osaka, is a 25-year-old rapper and singer-songwriter known for blending rap and melodic flows to deliver messages that transform negativity into positivity. He debuted in February 2019 with his first EP Natural Born Pain. In 2021, his remix track "Too Bad Day But… (Remix) feat. AKLO & KEIJU" became a breakthrough success, surpassing 50 million streams and establishing him as a rising force in the Japanese hip-hop scene. His momentum grew further in January 2023 with "TOMBI", the opening theme for the anime TRIGUN STAMPEDE, which reached number one on the hip-hop/rap charts and exceeded 30 million streams globally. Later that year, he reunited with AKLO and KEIJU for "Luv Myself", which was prominently featured across major streaming playlists. In March 2024, Kvi Baba released "Ms. U feat. idom & SALU", followed by his first sold-out one-man live tour Too Bad Day But Luv Myself in Tokyo and Osaka. In August, he dropped "Friends, Family & God feat. G-k.i.d & KEIJU." Continuing his prolific streak, he released Shout Out to Jesus (2025), further expanding his catalog of introspective yet uplifting hip-hop tracks.
