Ciegossordomudos, a rock group from Bogotá, Colombia, was formed in 1994 by Alejandro Gomes-Casseres, Pablo Bernal, and Jota García. Their debut album, Ciegossordomudos, released independently in 1999, marked their breakthrough with irreverent lyrics and high-quality sound. The band's resurgence came in 2006 when "Piloto automático" was included in the soundtrack of the film El Colombian Dream, leading to the release of En paz in 2009. Notable tracks from this album include "El beat de mi corazón" and "Amores invisibles". En paz was also notably named the Disc of the Year in Colombia by Revista Semana in December 2009.
