My Silent Wake

My Silent Wake, a progressive gothic metal and death doom band from England, was formed in 2005 by Ian Arkley as an extension of his previous project Ashen Mortality. In 2005, Arkley recorded the demo EP My Silent Wake with former Ashen Mortality members Jasen Whyte and Andi Lee. The band released their debut album Shadow of Sorrow in 2006 via Bombworks Records. Subsequent albums included The Anatomy of Melancholy (2007), A Garland of Tears (2008), and Black Lights & Silent Roads (2010). My Silent Wake continued to release music, including acoustic collections and live recordings, with notable works such as Preservation Restoration Reconstruction (2013) and And Everlasting Light (2014).
