Stephen Goss, born on February 2, 1964, is a Welsh composer and guitarist. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music, winning the Julian Bream Prize in 1986, and completed his doctorate at the Universities of Bristol and London in 1997. Goss's work spans orchestral, choral, chamber, and solo pieces, with a notable focus on guitar music. He has collaborated with artists such as John Williams and Andrew Lloyd Webber. In 2014, he founded the International Guitar Research Centre. His compositions have been performed by major orchestras worldwide, including Guitar Concerto (2012) and Theorbo Concerto (2019).
