Lennart Schilgen

Lennart Schilgen (born 13 October 1988, in West-Berlin) is a German singer-songwriter and cabaret artist. During his school years, he co-founded the ensemble Tonträger, for which he served as the primary lyricist and composer. He received classical piano training and taught himself the guitar. After participating in the Celler Schule in 2011, Schilgen began performing as a solo artist in 2012. He joined the Mainzer Akademie für Musik und Poesie (Sago) in 2013. His recording career featured the EPs Das war nicht ich (2015) and Populärmusik (2021). Schilgen gained recognition for his solo programs, including Engelszungenbrecher (2015) and Verklärungsbedarf (2019). Award wins included the first prize at the Potsdamer Chansonfestival (2012), the German Chanson Prize (2015), and a Prix Pantheon jury prize (2019). In 2024, he performed material from his program Abwesenheitsnotizen. He established a reputation for a musical style characterized by dark twists and parodies.
