Naozumi Yamamoto, born on December 16, 1932, in Tokyo, Japan, was a composer and conductor. He received his early musical education from his parents and later studied at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Impressed by Japanese harmony orchestras, Yamamoto began composing music. His notable works include "Capriccio" for Japanese instruments and orchestra (1963) and "Symphonic Ballade" for orchestra (1982). Yamamoto's compositions were featured in numerous films and TV series, including Ankokugai no bijo (Beauty of the Underworld, 1958) and Koroshi no rakuin (La Marque du tueur, 1967). He also led the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Japan and the Super World Orchestra. Yamamoto passed away on June 18, 2002.
