Julian Fauth, a Canadian blues pianist and singer-songwriter born in Germany, began his musical journey at age six after discovering The Golden Blues Hour, a compilation album brought home by his father. After earning a Master of Arts in philosophy, Fauth relocated to Toronto in 1996 and started performing locally. His debut album, Songs of Vice and Sorrow (2005), was nominated for Juno and Maple Blues Awards. Fauth's follow-up, Ramblin' Son (2008), won a Juno Award for Blues Album of the Year. He collaborated with notable musicians such as Harmonica Shah and David Rotundo. His third solo album, Everybody Ought to Treat a Stranger Right, was named 'Best Blues Album of 2012' by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
