Joe Gauthreaux, born in 1976 in the United States, is an American house music DJ and producer. He began his professional DJ career in Baton Rouge during Mardi Gras and was a resident player at Oz, a club in New Orleans. Gauthreaux later joined Centaur Entertainment, an independent record label for acclaimed DJs such as Tony Moran, Ultra Nate, Boy George, and Junior Vasquez. He moved to New York City in 2003, quickly gaining recognition and becoming one of 140 distinguished DJs responsible for compiling Billboard magazine's weekly Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. In 2005, he was hailed as the Hottest DJ of 2005 by Out Magazine. Gauthreaux has released compilation albums including Party Groove: Blueball (2002) and Party Groove: Cherry, Vol. 2 (2005), along with selected remixes such as "The Power of Music" and "Cover Girl."
