Arthemis, an Italian power metal/heavy metal band, was formed in October 1994 in Bovolone, Verona. The group gained initial traction through live performances and released their first demo in June 1996. In 1999, Arthemis launched their debut album Church of the Holy Ghost, which garnered international interest. Their second album, The Damned Ship (2001), further solidified their fanbase. The band's lineup stabilized with Andrea Martongelli on guitar and vocalists including Alberto Caria and later Alessio Garavello. Subsequent albums included Golden Dawn (2003), Back from the Heat (2005), and Black Society (2008). Arthemis toured extensively in Europe, sharing stages with notable acts such as Slayer and Within Temptation. In 2010, they released Heroes, followed by We Fight (2012).
